CONFÉRENCE
-Exploration geochemistry: Beyond statistics and towards comprehension
See program infoThe extensive use of exploration geochemistry is paradoxical considering its low success rate. The current short-course aims to provide understanding on how metals accumulate in the environments and how anomalies are formed. And, consequently, how to discriminate true from false anomalies! The short-course will provide a review of how detrital or hydromorphic dispersion process works and how they are influenced by environmental parameters. A robust noise-reduction and anomaly threshold selection procedures will be introduced.
