The Triangle and Ormaque orebodies and the work of François Robert within the Val-d'Or mining camp.

The Triangle gold deposit located near Val-d’Or consist of quartz-tourmaline veins associated with sub-vertical shear zones. The shear zones are cutting through a cylinder-shaped intrusion where the veins are spatially associated. The Triangle orebody was discovered in 2010 and started commercial production in march of 2019. The studies and publications from the work of François Robert on the Sigma Mine and the Val-d’Or region in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s greatly contributed to the understanding of the geology of the region and permitted the Triangle Mine to quickly be developped.
