Can geometallurgy be used during the exploratory stage?

Geometallurgy is increasingly on the lips of mining operation professionals. It helps people to understand the performance differences (which can occasionally be quite extreme) when processing concentrations and also helps to predict the metal recovery rate. However, this approach can be considered reactive and assessment is often limited to recent samples. The question is therefore whether geometallurgy can be done at the exploration stage. This presentation attempts to provide an overview of some ideas that can be applied during exploratory programs, so that relevant information can be gathered in the early stages of a project.
