  • “Marcel Laflamme has over 35 years of experience in the mining industry. A skilled team manager and technological innovator, he joined InnovExplo in 2018, bringing with him a wealth of mining engineering knowledge. At InnovExplo, he has primarily worked on economic assessment, design, optimization and planning projects for open pit and underground mining, while also contributing to engineering studies.

    Mr. Laflamme received his bachelor’s degree in mineral engineering from Université Laval (Quebec) in 1981, and a master’s degree and doctorate in mineral engineering from the same university in 1985 and 1990 respectively.

    Before joining InnovExplo, he worked for the Compagnie minière Quebec Cartier and LAB Chrysotile as a junior engineer, as well as working at Université Laval in the mineral, metallurgical and materials engineering department as a lecturer, graduate assistant, assistant professor and associate professor. He has also worked for Natural Resources Canada as a research scientist, interim manager at the business office, program manager for mine mechanization and automation and regional manager for green mining technology in Val-d’Or. He was also a research scientist in the mining technology department at the Centre de recherche minérale.”
