Marc Leblanc
As general director of Géologie Québec, Marc Leblanc and his management and professional team invite you to take part in the exchange with Géologie Québec. Before joining Géologie Québec at the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in December 2020, Mr. Leblanc spent his professional career in the forest industry. He received a bachelor’s degree in forest resource management in 1993 and a master’s in forest sciences in 1998, both from Université Laval. From 1998 to 2001, he worked in the forest industry in La Tuque before joining the Ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs (the department of forests, wildlife and parks, or MFFP) in 2001. During his time at the MFFP, Mr. Leblanc was highly involved in developing and implementing ecosystem-based forest management in Quebec. From 2014 to 2020, he successively held the positions of Head of the Service des orientations d’aménagement, Director of the Protection des forêts and Director of the Aménagement et Environnement forestiers at the MFFP.”
